Sleeper by S.M. Johnston Blog Tour GIVEAWAY!

S.M. decided to chat with me about naughty relationships she's had in the past along with the naughty one in her recent release SLEEPER. I'm really looking forward to checking this one out!
Don't forget to enter the GIVEAWAY at the bottom of the post! <3

A new heart should mean new life, not a living nightmare.

Mishca Richardson’s life is at an all-time high after her heart transplant. With new boyfriend, Ryder, the two of them have the perfect summer romance. Even the nightmares that have been plaguing her sleep since her operation can’t dull the high she’s on.

Things start to unravel as Mishca develops superhuman abilities. She does her best to hide them so as not to end up a science experiment in a lab. But she can’t ignore the instant attraction she experiences when she meets her university professor, Colin Reed.

Torn between the blossoming love and the obsession, Mishca must decide if she wants Ryder or Colin. But the organization responsible for her changes and her connection to Colin, is moving to secure Mishca for himself so that she can be the weapon he always intended her to be. If Mishca can’t resist her programming she’ll have a lot more to worry about than romance.

Naughty is sexy. There’s a great allure for the good girl to go for the bad boy in stories, and in real life too. The dark and dangerous alpha male can make readers weak at the knees, along with the dominating millionaire/billionaire(!) with the latest trope crazy.

But in SLEEPER it’s a naughty relationship of a different kind.

Mishca falls for Ryder, a sporting store assistant who is studying environmental law (nothing naughty there). But when she meets her university professor, Colin Reed, there’s a magnetic pull she can’t seem to resist. But he does, even though Mishca is sure that he has feelings for her too.

An older guy, and an existing relationship where the lines into intimacy shouldn’t be crossed, now that’s a very naughty relationship. In fact, it’s a forbidden relationship that could get Colin fired. But what they don’t know is that it’s also a relationship that could put both of their lives in danger.

I’ll share a secret with you. I’ve been in a similar situation in my own life. I was much younger and much more naïve.

I met a guy when I was 15. I thought he was so swoon worthy. But he was also in town to be a student teacher at my school. Do you think that stopped me? Hell no. Within a week we were dating. Thankfully he was a really sweet guy who didn’t take advantage of a young naïve teen. And because it was a long distance relationship once he returned to his studies, things just fizzled out.

But I gave no thought to the implications to his impending teaching career. Just that, at that time, my friends thought it was cool I could date a student teacher. It was only years later, when he was working at the school my sister taught at that I realized that this was more than just a bit of a naughty relationship.

I can still remember that thrill of being in a relationship that was so naughty. A couple of years later, in my senior year, I fell for the new bad boy of school and he fell back (we are the living cliché of geeky girl nabs hot bad boy and lives happily ever after), getting ourselves into a relationship that didn’t particularly please family and friends at the time.

So obviously I had bad-boy attraction/naughty relationship issues. How about you? Do you fall for the alpha bad boys or do you prefer the nice beta guys?
